Inclusivity

We strive to create an inclusive community where skateboarders of all backgrounds, physical abilities, and skill levels feel welcome and where self-expression, belonging, and creativity are prioritized.

Community Building

We work to build a strong, connected and supportive skateboarding community in Greater Sudbury and area by fostering positive relationships and collaborating with allied community groups.

Health & Well-being

We focus on mental well-being by promoting physical activity, encouraging self-expression and creativity, and facilitating social interaction through skateboarding.

Access

We champion the importance of inclusive skateboarding facilities for skateboarders and other user groups of all physical abilities in every community across Greater Sudbury.

Advocacy

We advocate for the needs and interests of skateboarders and other user groups in Greater Sudbury and area, actively engaging in consultation and advocacy initiatives to promote the growth and development of skateboarding.

    Roger has had the opportunity to lead many improvement initiatives within a large global based company. His past experiences working with multiple stakeholders to align on a common vision will enable ONSA to better serve skateboarders and the communities they skate in.

    Nico is Creative Director and Partner at Studio123. He traces the roots of his design passion back to the vibrant skateboard artwork and skate magazines from his childhood. He’s excited to continue contributing to the growth of the local skate community.

    Brian is a teacher with the Rainbow District School Board. He has been a part of the local skateboard scene in Sudbury since the early eighties and has shared his passion through school based skateboarding programs, demos and local initiatives to bring awareness and promote skateboarding in the community.

    Darryl is employed by a local Automotive Group and currently holds the position of Corporate Marketing & Technology Officer. Previous to his role of CMTO, Darryl co-owned and operated Aila Galleri a local brick and mortar streetwear shop focused on skateboarding culture, art, music and showcased many Canadian based brands and designers. Aila Galleri was heavily focused on community involvement sponsoring a local skateboard team, some of the first local go skateboarding day events, local artist exhibits as well as community clothing and food drives.

    Jeff makes a living as an Operating Engineer at Vale. Outside of his profession he is an avid skater and videographer. He has helped film and edit various local skateboarding videos since 2004. In 2007 he and best friend Justin Lamothe founded Big Ol Beastman Productions. Aside from skating and creating local skate videos, has recently completed a sports psychology summer course at Niagara College and also completed the Canada Skateboard Keep Pushing Program. He’s excited to use his gained knowledge and experience to help promote and grow the Sudbury skateboard scene.

    Phillip is an Environmentalist/Field Scientist with over 15 years of professional experience as well as a life long skateboarder. He looks forward to melding his expertise, passion for skateboarding, and community-building dedication to establish a vibrant and sustainable skateboarding community.
